TESTIMONIALS

“The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is one of the best treks I have ever done. The views are magnificent, and we were lucky enough to meet ‘honey hunters’ (search for ‘honey hunters of Nepal’ on YouTube, well worth a watch). These incredible climbers scale vertical rock walls on flimsy rope ladders to raid these huge beehives. Another highlight was walking through the rhododendron forests. I didn’t know about these until I got there, but they are superb, especially when flowering (March – May). 10/10 recommend.”

I did Everest Base Camp trek with four other mates organised by Mark and his team. Pemba our guide was well organised, very good and friendly. He was always doing his best for us to feel good. EBC trek was of a cultural and spiritual experience, as we got to interact with the local Sherpa people and learn about their traditions, religion, and way of life. We are impressed by the hospitality, kindness, and resilience of the Sherpas, who live in harsh conditions but still manage to smile and help others. We enjoyed sunrise from Kalapatthar. Thank you for everything. I will definitively book other treks with Everest Warriors Journeys.

Our guide, Tanka, proved to be not only highly experienced but also exceptionally considerate and kind. He possessed an intimate knowledge of the region’s mountains, which instilled a strong sense of safety throughout our journey. Tanka not only led us to the finest teahouses and dining establishments but also ensured our accommodations were clean and well-equipped with warm blankets. He took great care of us, providing the confidence needed to successfully navigate the challenging terrain, even in the face of substantial snowfall. Our porter, Hari, was a constant source of kindness and assistance.

The trek’s expansive scenery provided a breathtaking backdrop as we made our way towards the Tibetan border, revealing numerous wonders of Nepal. While some days were indeed long, the overall challenge of the trek pleasantly surprised us, leaving plenty of time for relaxation on other days.

For anyone considering the Manaslu Circuit Trek, I highly recommend booking it through Everest Warriors Journeys. Seven of us, all experienced and physically fit bushwalkers, embarked on the Tsum Valley Trek under the guidance of Everest Warriors Journeys. Mark, who had been instrumental in planning our journey, allowed us the flexibility we needed. Our travel arrangements, including airport pick-ups, transportation to trek locations, and the final departure, went off without a hitch.

Our guide, Lakpa, was an invaluable asset. With his extensive experience, he willingly answered our questions and proved to be a knowledgeable and patient companion. His familiarity with various trek routes and the local communities along the way ensured that any challenges were swiftly addressed, prioritizing everyone’s well-being, safety, and enjoyment. The atmosphere on the trek remained relaxed and filled with good humor, as everyone in the group got along well.

The Tsum Valley Trek itself was a breathtaking experience, offering panoramic views of majestic mountains such as Shringi Himal and Ganesh Himal, picturesque pine forests, meandering rivers, and the sights and sounds of local wildlife, including birds, mules, and yaks. The scenery was nothing short of spectacular. Our immersion in Nepali life during accommodation stops along the way, and the occasional close encounters with hard-working mules navigating the mountain trails, added to the rich tapestry of our adventure.

As we ventured higher up the valley, we had the privilege of visiting isolated temples and a Nunnery, each exuding a unique charm. Along the trails, we encountered numerous stone monuments adorned with ancient engravings, serving as a testament to the region’s rich history. The Tsum Valley Trek was a harmonious blend of stunning natural beauty and a deep dive into local culture. Our gratitude goes to Everest Warriors Journeys for making this memorable journey possible.
